Icarian Intensive with Adrian (Acrofroggy)

The idea of this intermediate-advanced workshop is to refine your technique to get higher and safer Icarians, as well as to challenge yourself with funky and spicy Icarians. Depending on the number of participants, we will make a quick review of the fundamentals to clean our tempos and basic throws. And we will think about how both partners can help to reach your maximum height and accuracy. We will also look for height to help with the funkiest Icarians we can imagine.
The group size is intentionally kept to a small number to give the attention of a private lesson in a workshop-style session.
Prerequisites:
To be able to work safely and enjoy the workshop, you should have some experience with Icarians and to feel comfortable doing:
- Tempos for straight throws in front plank
- Tempos for straight throws in throne
- Icarian from throne to front plank
- Icarian from reverse star to throne
About the instructor:
Adrian, aka Acrofroggy, is an Ashtanga who fell in love with acroyoga the first time he tried it. For several years, he explored movement through various disciplines (capoeira, climbing, yoga, sword…), and then 9 years ago, he discovered acroyoga. It was a revelation for him, and he hasn’t stopped since — even becoming a circus arts teacher!
Today, he teaches acroyoga classes in Paris and organizes international events such as the Paris Acroyoga Festival and workshops. He has also written and illustrated several books on acroyoga. In his classes, he places particular emphasis on creating a safe environment, so that everyone feels safe to develop their creativity. He enjoys understanding each person’s personal way of moving, the deeper meaning of a movement, and encouraging his students to create their own. In acrobatics, he loves being able to truly connect with his partner, finding the connection that connects two individuals to create a unique flow.
